What are my Continuing Education requirements each year?

This is dependent upon where you are from. See below for the specific requirements for specific countries:

Australia and New Zealand

All practitioners must complete a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education activities annually. At least 50% (12.5 hours) of the hours required must be ‘formal’ learning activities. The balance may be either ‘formal’ or ‘informal’ learning activities.

The GCC continuing education scheme relies on registrants to determine their own continuing education requirements and then arrange suitable learning to fit these learning needs. Therefore the continuing education hours available through the two programs within Elevate Paediatrics may be regarded as a guide only. However, these are the continuing education hours that have been allocated in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and California.

How do I manage the continuing education hours that are available with this program?

For Australia, New Zealand, Europe and South Africa:

The two programs in Elevate Paediatrics have been approved for 33 and 119 continuing education hours. Depending upon your individual regulatory body requirements, these programs obviously have the potential to satisfy your continuing education requirements for a number of years. The question is how are you to best manage these points? This will depend upon whether you are interested in the Paediatric Essentials program (33 hours), or the Paediatric Excellence program (119 hours).

Paediatric Essentials for the New Graduate

This program has been approved for 33 continuing education hours. So perhaps work your way through both modules at your own pace, but only do the quizzes for each module as you need the points.

Paediatric Excellence – The Complete Package

This module has been approved for 119 continuing education hours. So our suggestion is the following:

    • Take advantage of the Special Offer and purchase the entire program (all 4 modules – giving you full access to the bonus module) at the 21% discount.
    • Determine how many continuing education points you require for the current year.
    • Match the module or unit continuing education allocation with your current requirements
    • Complete the quiz for that module or unit
    • Progressively manage your points each year from then on, by submitting the quizzes as required.

Absolutely. As the modules are either totally new, substantially modified, or have some minor changes, you can complete the quiz questions and receive full CPD accreditation for every unit and every module in both programs.
